01What happens to my BigCommerce custom fields and product options?
Custom fields become Shopify metafields and show on your product pages just like before. Options and modifiers map to variants, or to a product-options app where Shopify’s variant limits need it.
02Do you move BigCommerce price lists and customer groups?
Yes. Customer groups become tags or B2B companies, and price lists become Shopify B2B catalogs (on Shopify Plus) or a wholesale app, so every buyer still sees their own prices.
03Will my store go offline while you move it from BigCommerce?
No. Your BigCommerce store keeps selling while we build and test on Shopify. At launch we sync the last orders and customers, then switch the domain in a quiet window, usually in under an hour.
04Will I lose my Google rankings?
We redirect every old product, category and page URL to its new Shopify address (301), carry over meta titles and descriptions, and resubmit your sitemap. Rankings usually hold, and we watch Search Console with you for the first weeks.
05Can my customers log in with their old passwords?
Passwords are encrypted and can’t be copied between platforms. We move every account, then send a friendly, branded invite so customers set a new password in one click.
06How long does a migration take?
Most stores take 2–4 weeks from audit to launch. Very large catalogues, B2B price lists or custom features can take longer; you get a written timeline with your quote.
